These hand towels are adorable! I did one up to see what I thought, and found it to be a winner!
I now have these for sale on Etsy.

Sweet Child's Purse

Sweet Child's Purse

This is a sweet purse that my daughter, Larissa, crocheted for a friend. I helped her with the button and flower. She used a baby yarn and it gave it a delicate look.

The pattern came from a book; sorry I can't post it, but it would be very simple to make up your own.

Kitchen Towel Topper

Kitchen Towel Topper

This is a nice towel topper. I used wooden buttons and added a simple flower with another small wooden button.

You can find the pattern here: http://crochet.about.com/od/kitchenpatterns/a/sstoweltop.htm

My only variation was:
Row 7: ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2dctog over (dc, dc), dc
in next sc, skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc, skip next 2 dc, dc in sc, 2dctog over(dc, dc), dc in last dc. (7sts)

This made the top a bit fuller.
